FTL2?? Is in development?? :shock: i hope that is not an empty word .. lol.

Anyways , for popular request i replaced the interceptor of the borg cube with an anti-pers drone. Now, if u want the interceptor , u will have to buy it on the shop at high prices...

The cardassians are almost finished.. :shock: , i only did 3 weapons for em (cardassian double disruptor, cardassian phaser , cardassian obsidian launcher), but i think they dont need more. So, update soon i guess...

Oh was there others that didn't like the interceptor? I like the idea and love the fact they have and attacking drone so i'm a little bummed to hear that. Now if you replaced it with the boarding drone i think that make sense but then again the anti-pers drone does too a bit.

I would thing ammo less bomb weapons like the singularity bomb from Obsidian Cruiser (fav mod weapon ever made!) I would think that would be good for new of the future races but eager to see the cardassians ships.

As for FTL2 I'm hoping/assuming they will make it i haven't heard anything just really want it :)!!

So, yes a boarding drone for the borg will be good, but a anti-pers drone will be fine too, the problem is the boarding drone is on the Klingons already, but i guess it fits more with the Borg, since the Borg can pass literally in the tv through any shield to make boarding parties. I will think wat to do.

The obsidian cruiser mod has nothing to do with the Obsidian launcher of the Cardassians. The obsidian order is a secret military arm of the Cardassians that makes investigation on armament. So i got the idea of a Obsidian launcher, nothing more...... i thought a lot of times on rift-style bombs, but the quantity of sprites u will need to make a good strip will be epic..

Well maybe take away the boarding drone from the klingons and make their crew crystal. Klingons are suppose to have extra organs for battle so they would take less o2 damage (hold breathe longer) and they are suppose to be tougher then humans so the extra HP would match with that but klingons are normally bigger so they would be slightly slower. Then you can have transporter on their ships for real klingon boarding party. Besides a klingon wouldn't want to dishonor his house by sending a robot in to battle where he/she should go.

And yes i forget about the obsidian order that makes total sense now look forward to seeing them even more now!

Thats another problem.. we cant modify the boarding drone to drop living beings instead of robots.. :), as i said, modding possibilities on FTL are really limited. About the crew, i will give maybe 4 random persons to em. Since i will not be able to make custom crew sprites (we dont have enough crew slots for every faction, so it will be stupid to make humans, and klingons and not to make, the jem haddar or someone else).

Anybody knows about the crystal shard issue i commented 2 posts ago?? If nobody answers me, im afraid i will not be able to make the jem haddar augmentation. But anyways, i think the dron-control its enough for the Jem Haddar so, nevermind. :lol:

No i didn't mean have them drop crew i meant have the crew crystal, and make their ship a bit more boarding focuse, like the crystal ship B is (maybe a little less than that one) with maybe upgrade transporter etc. As for custom sprites i think most people would be ok with the crew looking the same and just saying "crystal are klingons", slug 8472, humans and romulian are close enough to be inter changeable etc. The main thing is its just meh with all the ships with humans (we'er boring!! even in this awesome game)

Has DryEagle not been able to help with the crystal augement? He seems to know his way around modding the game wonderfully from that past mods hes done.

Nah, the only thing i will do is to replace the interceptor with a boarding drone, the rest stays as it is now, since the borg layout right now really fits with em. The Borg was never a boarding species, they board ships cuz they can pass through any shield (the regular teleport cant work if the destiny is protected by a shield) but they actually dont need to do it. In fact , most of the times u will only see the Borg telling the victims "we are the borg, resistance is futile, bla blah blah", and after that, the victim is assimilated through assimilation beams, not with boarding procedure. If u remember, only in some episodes of tng, like who-q (season 2) and best of both worlds (season 3) u can see the borg using boarding techniques. Besides as i said a lot of times, i cant put more boarding drones, since 2 repair bots fits better with the repair ability of the borg. And no.. crystal doesnt fit with the borg, since engi are the one crew that have the repair skills.. as for making the ship more boarding focused.. i dont think thats the idea. The borg have a lot of ways to kill an enemy, but they never had boarding focused ships. They use teleport to board ships, like any other ship, and thats all. The only difference is , the Borg teleporter is far more advanced than any other, so they can avoid ship shields. The good thing about the borg, is that u can make it a boarding focused ship, just upgrade teleporter and when u can, buy another boarding drone or watever (if u find one, mod items are hard to find). U have enough crew to asure that all your systems are manned and still u have extra crew to make boarding parties. Anyways, its not big deal to start with level 2 teleporter, i could do that, i dont think that will affect too much the balance of the ship.. but for make things that way, i will put only about 6 drone ammunition on the cube, so u will need to find extra ones. I need to do something, if not the Borg will be very op compared with the rest of the ships..

About the damn shard augmentation, i wish DryEagle could give me a hand, but unfortunatel as i said, only 2 people apparently are playing this mod.. so we have luck if DryEagle look around here... :lol:
