Hi, I have some compatibility issues with this mod and the Captains Edition mod. Which is weird because this mod is recommended for use with the Captains edition and I was able to get it to work with Captains edition on another computer. I'm using Slipstream mod manager and at first I though it was something Captains edition that caused my game to crash whenever I start a new game, but then I tried using Captains edition without Better Planets and it worked fine. Any reason for this that you know of? Any idea how to fix it? Thanks a lot.

P.S. Better Planets still works with any other mod and vanilla, jug not Captains edition.

Hi, thats what the thread says from CE, hope that helps.

Sadly that doesn't help me, I already knew that, but thanks a lot. I can get this to work on another computer, but its weird it doesn't work on my other one. Anyway I'll keep fiddling and maybe I can get it to work.

I checked out your deviantart page by the way. Awesome work!

I to had problems with 1.3.1 and the last version of CE, 1.2.1 works fine though. With 1.3.1 I got a freeze within 15 seconds of being booted up. Very odd.

Windows 7, 64-bit.

Hi, new here and I am having issues with installing the mod through SMM I have it in the mods folder under the application but when I run the program it does not show up on the list. Help please. :?:

I found this bug with the nebula.

In windowed mode, it looks like this.

In fullscreen mode, it was just the weird background. I quit, when to windowed mode to take this photo, and then the HUD and background were crazy like this.

I'll go restart the same and what not to see if this is still happening.

I'm using 1.3.1

EDIT: Confirming. I made a new game, new ship, and went into a new nebula. The hud glowed like in my other image, and i got the square background.

Also, worth noting, in fullscreen, I only got the background. No hud errors.

I'm having a problem. Whenever I try to install the mod it doesn't work. I renamed the mod from a .7z to a .ftl so that it would show up in SMM but when i patch it in none of the backgrounds appear. I had no other mods installed at the time.

Are you installing this mod with the same rights, that were used for installing FTL itself? I.E, if you installed it as root, mod it as root too (under Linux - for windoze, it's Administrator IIRC). Otherwise, SMM won't be able to modify game's files.

Summing it up - just run SMM with correctly elevated permission. If it isn't source of problems, please post SMM output logs, after trying to enable mod.

Not sure what you mean by "run SMM with correctly elevated permission."Are you referring to admin permissions on the application? That would not explain why only this mod is not working within SMM, I have the similar issue with sk Polisher KIT. It does not show up when I run the program, even though its in the correct folder. I am on mac, could this be an issue?
