for me all zoltan ships dont zoltan sheilds and some engi scout ships appear as exclmation marks instead

its the bomber class ship for the zoltan ship.
just saw that the fighter doesnt have it either. this is with your game and zero mods.
I believe I found the issue with the engi ships. They were included in the list of SHIPS_PIRATES but don't have an image with pirate markings. I've removed them from that list, so they should be corrected. Unfortunately the Zoltan ships always have the Zoltan Shield when I'm testing, so I'm not sure what's going on there, but at least one other person has reported this.

I´m not sure about it. I met a ship and it managed to jumped away, Then I got quest mark and there was a big ship. I defeated it without problems using Nisos federation cruiser. Is that a battleship event?

Then I defeated some big slug ship like three times...

And I´ve got an idea: can you give me copy of my own ship as oponent?

The "Battleship" event will always start as a NOTHING event, but if your ship is "strong" enough you will have a blue Continue instead of white. Than a (currently) federation style ship will jump in, and it's class is "Battleship". Also if you read the text for the event (I know not everyone does after playing a lot) it should be pretty obvious. Make sure you get the latest version, as it increased the amount of beacons in Deep Space that can spawn this ship.

The Battleship will never jump away, or attempt to surrender, or trigger a "quest" marker. This ship is my first attempt to include fights that are challenging for "maxed out" ships. So any feedback I can get about this fights would help a lot. If you find the fight too easy, let me know why.

Yes, it´s easy. I deafeated it with two Hull laser II, one Crystal B. I and maxed artilery beam. I also had some weapons augmentatiton (preloader and feaster reloading) and hull repair drone (I havent use it)

They boarded me, but I opened doors and they died (Can you transport them to weapon room or). They send some boarding drone too. So i diseabled drone control.

Their cloaking was useless and their weapons were unable to penetrate my maxed shields. So when i disabled drone control my weapons took care about the rest

(sorry for my english, I have to practise!)

Did the ship disable any of your systems at the start of the fight?
Did you take any hull damage at all, or was it completely unable to damage your ship?

I don't believe I can teleport crew into specific rooms, however the latest version should have the ship disabling your shields, weapons, OR engines, by reducing their max power in half. If you did not experience this, please feel free to download the latest version and try again.

I will look into the weapons the ship has, and make adjustments. Thanks again!

Two glitches I've found:
1. When fighting any pirate with an engi ship, there is no ship graphic, just the floor.
2. The crystal shard is obtainable in shops (not sure about events).
Oh, and in a nebula event with an ai ship that was planning to escape it mentioned warning the fleet of your position.
I have a screenshot of both glitches if you want it.

You are welcome (and I thank you for the awesome mod!)

In the end there was a hull breach in a systemless rooms a few damaged systems. Missiles did it, not lasers.

I believe I fixed the issue with the Engi ships not having a graphic. They were incorrectly placed in the list of pirate ships, and there is no image of the Engi ship with pirate markings, hence no image, and just a floor layout. If you aren't running the latest version, the fix is in there.

I'll look at the crystal shard appearing in shops, and the nebula events, thanks!

Your experience has me looking at these "boss like" ships from a different perspective. If it's possible they can't get through a players defenses, that just won't work. I've now created custom weapons for these ships, and will be testing it out tonight. Should have a new build out tomorrow with the updated ship strengths.
