Brain slugs are awesome! (it says so in the tip).. I will say that I think nebulas in nebula sectors still seem to slow down the fleet.. maybe not as much as in non-nebula sectors, but it seemed that their expansion was smaller when I was in nebula jumps vs non nebula jumps INSIDE of a nebula sector...

plus brain slugs! I saw one on an enemy ship and was totally baffled.. but then one joined my crew.. and I was like

"All hail the hypnotoad!"

Nebula sectors do slow rebel fleet. Just not as much. Read tool tip.

They definitely does slow them.. the tool tip on entry even says so.. but it you have to make it out the other side
