Of course right now with the fancy and advanced #2 having relatively recently come out, it might not associate as well, but for me personally the moment I saw the pictures the first thing that popped up into my mind was a map from XCOM-UFO Defense. Anyway, what I'm trying to say with my comparison is that I hope it'll be hard as what I just mentioned above.
Aside from being an isometric tactical strategy with destructible environment, XCOM Ufo Defense is not as similar to Into The Breach.
As I've mentioned before, this game is more akin to Front Mission:

A tile-based isometric rpg/strategy.

It was? Damn. Is there a mirror anywhere that anyone knows of?

Justin gave an Interview, talking about the game.
Does “Into the Breach” and FTL share a world, or are they separate universes entirely?

I have now spent a few days trying to throw a 50 euro bill on the monitor and it just does not seem to accept this for payment of this game.
This is almost as annoying as the "add episode" button on the imdb.

Seriously though, I really hope it´s at least a 2017 game.

I'm imagining you have a very bouncy 50 Euro bill made of rubber that keeps ricocheting off the monitor and flying over to the other side of the room.

Well the interview actually confirms that this is a sort of mix of tactics and puzzle game. Will be interesting to see how this will play out.

Would anyone be interested in seeing a video analysis of the screenshots and trailer? I´m thinking about possibly putting something up within a week.

Sounds great! I was thinking about doing one, but I don't have the time.

There is also a new interview that goes into way more detail, especially on the power grid mechanics and the games tone.
