OMG...
For your information, I used alot of Game Maker before its price skyrocketed to 99$ so I know how games are made, what is difficult and what isn't. If I would have time to learn some of more traditional coding languages I could make these changes myself, but right now I have school.
How many IF THEN statement have I made... maybe over 1000, I used to make pretty complicated games. Plus my favorite mod for MineCraft is ComputerCraft mod, again a lot of coding was done there.

As a coder you should realize that when they built this game from scratch, they did it with a very specific design in mind in more like a computerized board game. I doubt there is any groundwork to make your request. (Everything is easier in something like game maker where the legwork is done for you) I doubt there isn't even a concept of physical ships to move or space to move it. To deviate from that design as much as you request would be to start anew and a completely different game.

Hey, just judging from your description I think this game would be very much up your alley. It's quite a classic and free so enjoy it!

Using a pre-made game editor and coding your own game from the ground up are not even remotely analogous.
As others have said, the amount of work you're suggesting goes far beyond anything Matt & Justin ever intended for this game, and the groundwork for such changes simply isn't there. This isn't an expansion or extra content you're suggesting, this is a gutting and reworking of the core mechanics of the game. That's the honest truth - getting offended when people point it out to you is immature and irrational.
With regard to the music, Ben Prunty is responsible for the in-game tunes, and more of them will be coming with AE. (At least three new tracks + battle versions, that I know of)

As per your original post, your ideas
have been heard, and rationally responded to. You may cease dying now.

I love the way you take our ideas for posts and make them funnier, kieve.
