I am in Australia. I guess that means you'll be releasing it early Saturday morning Australian time?

Fellow Aussie: as said yes. Steam updates sales and the like at 3AM for us (I think noon for the yanks?) at GMT+10, so essentially you have to get up Saturday morning for it.
*falls to knees, arms raised to a cold, uncaring sky.* Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I would rather purchase it directly from FTLgame.com as i understand not only do they get more money, but i get both a standalone download, AND a steam-key so win-win
But if steam (or GOG) is live before the rest I might just have to do both

link to where you got this from.

@Mandabar2 wrote:@FTLgame Does that mean we also can't preorder via Steam? Also, better for you guys if I buy direct from your page, and I still get steam??
@FTLgame wrote:@Mandabar2 No Steam preorder planned and yes it's technically nicer to us if purchased through the website.
Since you pay the same 10 bucks, but steam doesnt take their cut - and you still get a steam-key

So long as that $10 is adjusted for region I'm happy to buy straight from them. I don't want to assume the worst but it's better to be sure ahead of time that I'm not going to end up paying £10 for a £6 game.

If you buy from them you will be charged in USD - Steam adjust prices to local currency, they will charge in dollars regardless of where you live

So I have to buy it from GoG for extras and no Steam key or FTL themselves for a discount and no extras? I'm not sure I'm terribly happy with that arrangement.
