Yeah, a lot of the realities are much less interesting than the conjecture. We tried to make everything possible be expressed at some point to the player so if we're not saying something it usually means there's no mechanic there.
If you're having hull problems, I feel bad for you son. I've got 99 problems but a breach ain't one.

Some of the scrapped augmentations are really interesting though. I'd really love to see some of them getting implemented in possible future DLC/expansion/big post-release updates.

I mean, External Drone Booster would be a blast to have as it increases Attack Drone efficiency. Make available the ion drone that's already in the file and let Drone-heavy ships run wild. Hell. Even Missile Drones won't be too overpowered....
