Yeah, it's susceptible to early-game screw due to not being able to handle missiles or automated ships, but once you get out of sector 2 you're usually pretty good. I may tweak it a bit, dropping an engine level or removing something else. Maybe drop the Engi?

I'm not sure what you could do to it to make the late-game harder without making the early game incredibly painful. In a few of my trial runs I got utterly devastated in the first sector, and was worried about having a hellish time in the real run, but it actually wound up being quite interesting.

I'm proud to announce version 2 of the Pyro is now available to download on the first post. It's a direct replacement for the original Pyro, and isn't named Pyro_2 or anything like that.

It's got less engines and less crew. It's also got better room graphics and functional gibs. I won't say the Gibs are pretty or anything but they get the job done.

This one's quite a challenge. Beating the game with this bad boy should make you feel pride.

This sounds pretty cool, may check it out. Possibly do a let's play of it.

I can't wait to try it out. Downloading right away!

EDIT: By the way, I'm probably passing it completely, but which ship does this replace?

Oops! I forgot to say that.

It replaces the Kestrel. Most of my ships do, which is probably a problem

If you do a LP, mention it here or at least put "5thHorseman" in your description so I'll find it. I'd like to see how you do

Jesus, this is a hard ship to get past the first sectors.

1st run-through
-------------------
Made it to the second sector, died.

2nd run-through
--------------------
Came across one auto-scout in first sector, had to run.
Came across a second auto-scout in first sector, burnt me and blew me up before I could run.

I think you replied to the wrong thread, but I got around this error by opening a dos prompt in Admin mode, and then just running main.py instead of modman.exe.

I've seriously considered downgrading to 1.6, which did not have this problem and worked fine as far as I could tell.

As you've noticed, I had a lot of free time to work on updating pre-AE ships. I had to add 2 rooms to have enough space for Hacking and Backup Battery. Because this one is already in the compendium I'll simply post the download links here.
