Another post gave the game away as it was obviously copy pasting parts of other people's posts.

Normally all spammer posts would be deleted but sometimes people leave replies that would make the topic look odd if removed, or it would require removing an entire thread and deleting legit posts as well. It's easier in those cases to leave the offending post alone, and just remove whatever links may exist.
