Or it can be a failed troll due to the more friendly than average crowd here. most forums will have rabid fans screaming if you criticize their games. Especially when it's unjustified and poorly thought out. Best thing to do is to ignore trolls

Any mods, you say? Check out the modding section, there's an absolute bucketload of stuff. You can see some of my work in my signature - descent into darkness is a compelte redesign of the start of the game, where you make a series of choices on what your ship starts with, instead of being given a single ship - 72 different combinations, try it out ;)
