Maybe the board should turn on the "report this post" feature. I remember seeing the feature turned on in another board using the same engine. It's turned off by the theme. For some reason it doesn't include the button, but it can be forced on by using the plugin mentioned here:

Also, there was a report for the spam post in the Moderator CP. I closed it after deleting the offending post.
