[Ship][AE][CE ready] The Triquetra

Origin
The next in the line of my collaboration with Anistuffs. In this one we wanted to show some love to things that often go unappreciated or unused. We decided this time we'd equip a ship with some boarding drones and create a weapon that fits the strategy. And so, after some long testing and retesting figuring out what works and what doesn't, (did you know a drone rec arm doesn't recover boarding drones ?) the Triquetra was born.

Strategy
So the ship relies on making use of that ion intruder drone and the light pierce laser. The light pierce laser is a weapon dealing 1 hull damage, 2 system damage and 30 crew damage, with the ability to pierce 1 shield layer. Consider it a heavy pierce with 1 less hull damage for 1 less power bar.
The pair works well together as the ion drone will draw a crowd to 1 room, stun them and leave. Leaving them open for a shot from the light pierce.
Getting a 4th bar in drone control allows you to use the ion intruder and 101010 (a 1 power version of the standard boarding drone) combined for more fun.

Other useful info
The ship replaces Engi A.

The 101010 can be used in blue events just like the standard boarding drone.

The ship has an artillery mount and weapon for those playing with Captains Edition, CE is required to use and buy the artillery but is otherwise not required to play with this ship. The artillery is weapon is the waveform artillery found on engi ships.

Hmm, I've got to try this one.
I'll add this to my list of "Ship runs to record." :)

Before I do so though, how should I pronounce this so I don't call it the wrong thing in the video? Or would a pronunciation guide ruin the fun of hearing someone mispronounce it? (I'm calling it Try-Quet-Tra)

Join the club on the pronunciation part...
Think I pronounced it in three different ways over the course of my run.

You took a pretty, how shall I say this... unexpected... path with this ship. Entertaining to watch though.

Well I thought "I need something to assist the boarding drone and I have all these Mantis the game kept throwing at me"
So I chose Mind Control (when perhaps I should have went with Hacking, since I had the Defense Scrambler). Then I got the teleporter when I really should have taken Cloaking. I mean suddenly at the end I'm playing the Abductor because I have nothing else to throw at the enemy.

Poor back up battery, never got a chance to prove its value


Yeah I never use the Backup Battery, even when I really should. The problem with the battery is that it takes a lot of micromanagement and I hate rushing to power up something I need powered up. Like I always keep a bar in Life Support. You never know when you'll be at 25% oxygen and then a BS Missile strikes your O2, sets it on fire and breaches the hull. That can turn nasty quickly.
