Hey, I won the game and set new high scores in everything! I had 3 Mantises with 8 skill masteries. :ugeek:

:lol: I forgot how Infinite would bork all your stats.

On Bio's episode 101, at 21:47, he meets a Zoltan enemy on an ion storm. However, it doesn't seema s if the enemy ship gets the -1 sheild bubble effect frommthe hazard, seeing as it has as much as 1 bubble already on the first text window, and knowing that shield bubbles removed by hacking only go away after exiting the event window (engine limitation clearly visible on the "our shield couplers ain't working" distress event, where they somehow do have shields up on the text window; and on this ion storm event, you can slo see how the player still ahs 2 shield bubbles on the text window).

There's the possibility that it's sMPK's fault too, so you check it too slowie.

Hey I'm having some trouble with better planets and backgrounds (BP&B) mods and CE compatibility, and could really use anyone's help.

So I've downloaded the CE, infinite, music addon, and vanilla ship loadout, and they all worked fine for me. I then downloaded the better planets and backgrounds mod 1.3.1 and it doesn't work with CE. I have organized it in the SMM the way it says:

BP&B
CE
vanilla ship loadout
music addon
CE Infinite

I have extracted the ftl file from the 7z file after it was downloaded. The BP&B mod's 1.3.1 and 1.3 work normally with the game just as long as the captains edition is not involved. When I have all 5 mods running the battle station loading icon loads but after it loads it goes to a completely white screen.

Has anyone dealt with and solved this problem? Thank you so much for your help!

Some other people had this problem as well, but it's still not clear what causes this. BPAB does not append its stuff, but I have no idea if that poses a problem. It seems to work for most people thought. You might just have to omit BPAB then.

BPAB works fine with CE for me.

Maybe just try changing the BPAB into .append files instead of whole .xml's? I have't tried that yet on the computer this doesn't work on.

I just thought I'd mention that on my other computer which BPAB does not work on the ion countdown does not work and the enemy ships shield bubbles are shown entirely not limited to the target window... :? Not sure if thats related at all, but its just weird the game doesnt work right on my PC when it works exactly as it should on my laptop...

I've played through quite a few times with Captain Edition + Infinite and I thought Infinite was meant to be Infinite? After about 20 jumps into the unknown it somehow throws me at the boss after that, I can't see to explore infinitely haha. Is this a bug or meant to be? :)

Jumping closer to the Federation Base will eventually lead to the boss battle. Did that happen when jumping to deep space? In this case I cant imagine what would cause this, although it might be possible somehow. Which sector number where you in? Missclicked maybe? This would be really odd cause it does not happen in the original Infinite Space. Let me know if this happens to anyone in lower sectors.

Thanks for your fast response, yeah the first 2 times I thought maybe it was just a mis click cause I was tired, but then a 3rd time I actually stopped and made sure I clicked deep space, and then I ended up at the boss. I'm not exactly sure of the number before that happens, but It felt around like 19-20 jumps. I'd have to count to make sure. I'm just curious if its a bug or something, because I thought you could explore endlessly.I'd assume if you were to "meant" to be taken to the boss it would probably say something, like a warning. I made sure I installed the mods in the correctly too.

I've noticed the uselessness of many augments like Long-Range Comms and Cargo Transporter. Could you shed some light on where these are supposed to be used? So far, the Cargo Transporter is redundant because I can trade goods already, and the Long-Range Comms are just unused entirely.
