I had a minor example. "An Engi ship needs help against some Mantis? I'm on it!" So the Mantis ship goes down in flames, and I prepare to give the Engi 2 missiles, 2 fuel, and 40 scrap, and get the elusive healing nanobot augment for my Kestrel Type B. Only problem is...I only have 33 scrap. Crap.videogameguy54 wrote:When I was trying to unlock all ships, I did exactly what I needed to do for the Zoltan cruiser by accident, and not knowing what to do I asked the rebels to leave. Later I found out what to do. Still haven't gotten it yet.

To be honest, I don't give a rat's ass about the healing nanobots. If they worked while you were assualting enemy ship, then yes, otherwise meh.

You have much less to fuss over while you're under attack. And crew heals automagicaly without leaving their stations. What's not to like?

Better stuff to get really. Auto-loader and weapon pre-igniter are a must and then... well it depends on the ship.

That sounds like a bug but I've never experienced it. Are you talking about if you have guys running by other guys and you can't click just one of them? You can click on them in the upper left area where it lists crew.Rworqx wrote:my fuuu moment is cant deselect bug crew while midlle in boss battle

My only gripe with it is it doesn't do anything if you're not powering the Medbay (or it's destroyed). It doesn't heal more with a more advanced Medbay either. If it did either of those things, it'd be perfect. (Both, and it might be OP. Just save 150 scrap to get a level 3 Medbay and just turn it off for the rest of the game: Free heals!)UltraMantis wrote:You have much less to fuss over while you're under attack. I'm in the situation where you have to either choose "Save the Engi" , "Save the drone schematic", or "Save yourselves". I already had 5 crew, and I could use a bit of extra scrap, so I chose "Save the drone schematic". Well, the game was like "So, you're going to be selfish like that, huh? Well, I hope you like having a crew member sucked into space!" Apparently, the schematic was also sucked into space, because it wasn't on my Cargo screen.

Though are you playing a mod? I've only ever seen the "Save the Engi" and "Save the schematic" options in Vanilla FTL.

Nope, it's vanilla FTL. No mods. It was in either Engi Controlled Sector or Engi Homeworlds, can't quite remember.5thHorseman wrote:Ouch!SgtFrog wrote:I'm in the situation where you have to either choose "Save the Engi" , "Save the drone schematic", or "Save yourselves". And I know I made the game sound like a jerk, but the message I got was like "Your crew grabs the schematic and head back to your ship. Unfortunately, the airlock malfunctions, sucking an unfortunate crew member into space!" It was less the game being trolly and more me just being unlucky.
