After 30+ hours of "default" FTL, I finally got around to visiting the modding scene.
From the start, this modmanager hasn't worked for me that well, and I was hoping someone here could give me the "you're so stupid, the problem is obviously this" rant, or something like that.
anyways here's my problem, and first I should say that I don't believe it's mod-conflict or anything like that.
after highlighting the 4 mods I'm currently using;
Extra Names Mod 1.1
FTL- Additional Events and Texts
Highres Backgrounds
Weaponanza
and then running Patch, my issue pops up. FTL simply crashes when I try to launch it. The steam quickfix is to verify integrity of game cache, but when I do that I see no evidence of the mods inside the game.
After a bit of thinking, I took a screenshot of the cmd window that pops up after you run patch, and found this.

for those of you who don't trust links;
Unpacking data.dat . . .

unfortunately, my screencap being what it is, the "(" ")" and "<" ">" are kind of interchangable with the light blurring, which irritatingly enough only musses up the difference between small and sharp corners to make me second guess myself.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
