The difficulty progression is a bit out of whack with this mod. Everything before the flagship is very easy, then you reach the flagship and you die instantly.
I think that standard enemies need a further buff if they haven't already (I didn't notice any in my playthrough.) Lvl 10 shields were removed from the enemies for fairness, but I reckon that having stronger enemies like that would help smooth out the difficulty progression. Maybe have late game enemies with artillery systems, or with 5 shield bubbles. And to help the player deal with these enemies, and the final boss itself, maybe increase the system levels even more, for example let the player get level 10 shields for a 5th shield bubble.
I'm not sure if these changes just need getting used to, like how Vanilla FTL needs some time until you beat the game, but at the moment it seems like the boss is too OP and the player too weak for it to be within the realm of possibility.

completely agree, its a good curve up till the final fight...and I was playing on easy mind you, I legit thought after I was formatting the video that maybe I set it on hard some how...nope it was easy

how did you fix difficulty, like how did you fix the flagship?

In v1.0.0, the flagship on (AE) EASY mode erroneously had e.g. the drones and some other specs from (AE) HARD mode. This is now fixed in v1.0.1.

Enemy ships got buffed in v1.0.1 by giving them an additional energy bar across the board. The difficulty progression should be a lot more noticeable now, especially once you reach sectors 5 and up. I may buff them further, will do a couple of runs for testing (I usually only play on HARD).

It is highly recommended to max out exploring every sector to upgrade the ship as much as possible - the Rebel fleet pursuit is variable, meaning it is slowed down overall (randomized within predetermined limits for each sector type).

Honestly I kinda don't want to play it because of how much that hurt, seriously you should have tested it on all difficulties...but I suppose maybe I will return to it someday

Hello Apexmods

Couldn't seem to find any other way to contact you

seem to have come across a bug that may have been fixed earlier but is now causing trouble.

Recently installed this mod only came across it yesterday and when I have all the upgrades maxed out on my ship (cloaking, hacking, battery backup, shields, reactor, ftl drive, cameras, doors, guns + everything else) all systems manned btw, when activating the backup battery the entire game crashes, sometimes I got lucky and the save didn't delete itself but when activating the backup battery for a second time the game crashed completely again and the save deleted itself.

This is while I have 4 shields some power in ftl, cloaking is not activated and hacking is not activated.

p.s. the only other mod I had activated at the time was the optional cheat addon (can't seem to find any details about this other then the menu pops up occasionally while I was playing the game)
