Why are sales final at shops, but ship upgrades aren't?

Why are sales final at shops, but ship upgrades aren't?
By this I mean, in your ship upgrade menu you can cancel a purchase before hitting "Accept", but stores don't give you that luxury. Why not let you fix mistakes at stores? It just makes the game more frustrating, due to punishing misclicks.

Most of the game punishes misclicks.

You tend to be able to fix it though. When I'm targeting, I tend to be paused, so I can make sure I'm hitting what I want to before going through with it.icepick wrote:Most of the game punishes misclicks.
Wait, unless you mean menu options. I use the number keys for that, so it's not usually very much of an issue.

Well I didn't take pausing into account. That is true.
It mitigates misclicks to large degree.
