Jake switched off the radio and spoke to his ship.
"Once the 02 is fixed, everyone work on their respective systems. Bosun, you work your magic on the hull." Then, Jake spoke to the entire fleet. "I want everyone in position and ready-to-go in three hours, tops. The fleet moves out then, no delays."

Jake got on the wide-band ansible, on all frequencies. He targeted it at the location of the former station. (Ansibles from the future can be targeted at a specific beacon or location)

"This is Commander Jake Collins calling any survivors of the Rebel attack. Does anyone read me? Any survivors, please respond." Static.

"Any survivors from the station attack, do you copy?" Static.

"Can anyone hear me?" Static. Jake deactivated the ansible without another word.

A lone engi stands in the middle of the room. He has no recollection of what he was doing previously. He tries with all his might to remember who he was, or what his purpose is, but it all comes up blank.

With nothing to do, he leaves the room. He walked around the ship. Although he remembered about himself, he instinctively knew what each function, each room he travelled served.

He was about to enter the next room, but stopped Midway through the door. This room was occupied by another being. The engi could not discern it's intentions, so he simply observed. The being was different from him in many aspects. It did not have the same metallic chrome that coated the engi's being, nor did it possess an engi's mechanical grace. Instead it looked, and moved, more... Natural, so to speak.

The engi reached out an arm, and spoke softly, as if he was unsure that his words were correct. "Hu...man..."

Kyrie was working on a few connectors that had been ripped apart when she heard someone speak behind her. She looked back and saw WOL standing there with an arm stretched out. "Hey WOL. I think Jake said the oxygen was damaged." When WOL didn't move, she looked back. "You ok WOL?"

Kyrie was working on a few connectors that had been ripped apart when she heard someone speak behind her. She looked back and saw WOL standing there with an arm stretched out. "Hey WOL. I think Jake said the oxygen was damaged." When WOL didn't move, she looked back. "You ok WOL?"

The engi retracted his arm, and searched the room. He was able to identify the language as "English" and oddly enough, he was able to understand everything. The engi tried to communicate with the human, but nothing came out.

He was getting nowhere. Suddenly, an idea popped up in his mind, he was going to use visual cues to communicate. The engi tilted his head questioningly, and pointed to himself, hoping that the human had the mental capacity to understand.

Fun fact: When I made Bosun Morgan, I thought "Bosun" was just a fancy name for an XO or someone important on the ship. Then I looked it up. The Bosun or Boatswain is responsible for the ship's hull. So Morgan would be the guy who can do hull repairs and probably be a vital person to have on an ageing ship like the Robin or the Pelican... not so much a high-tech ship from the future but one can manage.

Eden said "Acknowledged. Our engines should be hammered back into shape by then."
They'll be done in an hour with this lot hammering on it, she thought to herself with an amused smile.

Lux said to Jake "Training will take a long time, in case you're wondering. It will be painful but then again, so was PT at the Academy and that hurt more than just the jaw. Did you climb that wall on your first attempt? Because I remember getting ropeburn when I tried..."

From now on, the crew of the Pelican is an undefined number of human cannibals who have contracted The Gift.

If any guest/non-player AT ANY TIME would like to play the role of a cannibal, you can submit your character.

The only criteria is that you are a human, and a person who has contracted The Gift, and you serve on the Pelican under command of Captain Eden.

Other than that, your backstory can be whatever you want.

If your character is accepted, congratulations, you have entered the RP! Unfortunately, if your character is denied, you cannot join the RP.

The RP will continue as normal, but these characters are still open! Join when you want!

Everyone else who is already in the RP, you can just continue as normal.
