Ops, noticed a little bug in the omicron marauder, the link between doors is wrong and the crew will not move at all xD.
In fact, i even forgot to include doors on some rooms (as you can notice in the screenshots xD).

Fixing it and uploading soon.

I only just started playing this, haven't actually gotten to a battle yet, but I'm sure it'll be fun. :) But, question, are vanilla drones SUPPOSED to be purchasable? I jumped to a shop in the first sector, and vanilla defense mk I and beam mk I were in the shop. Just a feeling, looking at that picture of the enemy ship, but I think a vanilla beam drone might just be a LITTLE op. :lol: (Side question. Are vanilla ships okay as well? Just encountered a federation scout.) (And I'm getting weird explosion images from the Omicron Proton Launcher Mark II, and other large explosions. It's just a large white square. I'm using the corsair, as in the image.) (And I just crashed using the corsair against a blue station.)

Yes, vanilla stuff is still purchaseable, i didnt remove the vanilla stuff in the end. And no, a beam drones are not op, not even the omicron shredder (that is an omicron beam drone more powerful than vanilla ones), because unless you hit weapons on the enemy ship (weapon systems are always protected by shields) , you will be getting hits as well, and those ships are really dangerous. Anyways, the Marauder is configured that way on purpose, since it is a really hard ship already, i only protected engines and weapons to balance the ship a little bit.

About the explosions glitches and crashes, i dont have em. Maybe you have a corrupt modded installation of FTL, i recommend you to uninstall FTL completely and install the mod in a fresh installation. No users reported any bugs, anyways. ;)

Or maybe, the explosions you are referring to, are the larger ones, they have a lot of frames and they are very big, maybe your system just cant handle em?? i really dunno. About the crash fighting the blue station i really dunno wat could happen, i checked the corsair just in case but i dont have any crashes..

Yeah the image and game crashes are likely my system. I don't exactly have a top of the line computer. But it was odd, usually when I get a crash, it either freezes or says some sort of error. This time it just acted as I pressed exit. I think it was because I had started the game through steam, instead of just by app. I highly doubt it was caused by the mod. And so far, it's really fun. :) Really emphasizes the "dying is part of the fun" aspect.

Lol, yup, in this mod you probably will die A LOT of times before you get a "lucky" game and you reach almost sector 4. Some ships are just a complete challenge, others are designed to have more luck, and others are just ok and you only need to manage them correctly. But in general terms, this mod is only for people who wants a real challenge, not to pick a ship and reach sector 8 with tons of scrap and a lot of everything.

Well, my computer is a 2009 laptop.. so, i dunno wat computer you have, but mine is not precisely "new" or high - top lol. So i really dont think the crashes are produced by lack of processing capabilities.. as i said, maybe is just a corrupted installation.

Huh, my laptop is only a couple years old. I hope I don't have to do a full re-install, I worked hard o get some of those stats. (I don't know if those might be part of the problem, possible, but not probable.) And this I really like the certain systems not being covered by the shield. That actually happened to me, in making my ship kinda, because I chose a too small shield image, and couldn't be bothered to get a bigger one. True, all that is uncovered on my ship is weapons an piloting, but those are definitely important system that you do NOT want to let get damaged. These Omicron ships are going to take some getting used to and development of new strategies, bu I love the mod! :D (Oh, and I did do a check of some of the images, and the on in question for the proton launcher explosion was really big, but it also had a lot of space between the frames, so I think my game/computer may have been reading it with the wrong spacing/starting point. I'm not sure, I'm still just an amateur modder.) I talk too much it feels like.

Well, as i said, if my laptop can handle any animation.. yours should as well. I think the problem is somewhere else.. for some reasons some mods presents problems in some installations (happened with my other star trek mod to 1 user, that he never got to see the defiant sprite showing up in the screen.. while all the other users never had a problem) and yes, if you are worried about all stats, maybe that will be a problem. But if you have the steam version, i dunno if the stats will be kept somewhere , even if you uninstall the game completely. But most of these crashes comes because the installation is a bit messed up and there are trails of other mods or other things in it. But i really never cared about the stats, just to play the game lol.

Anyways, after some tests, the Omicron Marauder is still really hard (almost impossible) so i deleted 1 weapon from the blueprints in the earlier sectors (now the marauder of sectors 1-4 only have 1 omni cannon and 2 omni lasers + artillery weapon). I will upload it in the next update (if there is one, i dunno wat im going to do next, ideas are welcome lol).

And im glad you like the mod Chris. You know what? since you are the only one that is giving me a little feedback and something to talk about .. :lol: :cry: , i am almost out of ideas about next updates, i was thinking in to make an Omicron Sector, with new music tracks, backgrounds and so on, but that will be a lot of work and wat i wanted is to add 1 extra sector to the mod but i really dunno how. But, if you have some i deas of anything you would like to see in the mod, write them down and i we will see!.

Glad to be of any help possible in the idea/creation process. You certainly should be able to "add" a new sector, which could be gone to like the crystal sector, or it might e able to go in as a "normal" random sector, but if you mean having like the last stand at a ninth sector, I don't think that would be possible. I don't think I've actually played enough and seen enough of the mod to be able to suggest any new ideas, so far it's awesome. :D I finally just barely got to sector two in my last game, and I died to a Marauder in my first jump. :lol: I can't even begin to imagine how difficult later sectors are. :shock: And thinking of that picture of the marauder where it was "missing" some doors. It actually makes me kind of think of the slug interceptor, where oxygen and engines are in unreachable rooms.
