Hello,

After the last update of FTL (1.6.5), I noticed that many textures/animations are missing like ship explosions, missile explosions, dying crew animation

Because images are better than words, I made a little video showing this bug

Thank you for both of the bug reports. We'll be looking into this.

Blue_Tree if you're still around I'd appreciate the full text from your FTL.log file. You can fine that at ~/.local/share/FasterThanLight.

Thanks Blue_Tree. We're checking it out now. You aren't the only linux user to run into this, so this helps it narrow down what's happening.

Add to the list: engi medbot dispersal augment doesn't work.
Tail end of the log here, otherwise it's identical to previous bug report log:

alfabrot wrote:This seems to be a locale problem - try launching it with `env LC_ALL=C %command%` in the start properties. This also makes explosions et al work - this is a common issue with OpenGL, since my locale writes numbers as "123.456,789" - so if you have any string that's interpreted as a number, it'll fail.

Similarly, I've found that FTL now created a second directory in my ~/.local/share, so now theres "FasterThanLight" and "fasterthanlight" in there, which resulted in it not finding the savegames. Once I moved it to the lowercase version, I had my unlocked ships again.

This will be solved in an update later this week. Sorry about the delayed fix everyone, it was a very odd one.

I've just upgraded from 1.5.13 to 1.6.7 on Linux and the ship explosion animations and the bomb animations are still not working properly. It looks like in the video Blue_Tree supplied.
