Are you Kidding me (It's really that bad)

The Flying Turd (Cause it looks like a turd)

For the mantis ships the hydrathist is a common choice for me.

Soviet Rusship: name all crewmembers after Putin, Stalin, Lenin etc.

I've taken to naming my Kestrel cruisers (Since Kestrels are equivalent to Ravens, essentially), The Raven.

I don't have a ship naming system, but I DO have a crew naming system that might help you out with ship naming...
Humans - named after my irl friends
Engi - named after Fi, from Skyward Sword
Mantis - named after some other Zelda character, depending on colour (the leafish-green one is Link, the blue-green one is Lana(from Hyrule Warriors))
Rock - named after Rock-type Pokemon
Slug - default name/named after a bacteria (according to the game, the Federation shuns slugs for their cunning, reflected in my naming system. The slug is also almost always placed near an airlock)
Zoltan - named after Youtubers (my first one would usually be Martyn, the next one Daniel/Nerdcubed)
C______(don't wanna spoil it for you just in case) - named after a character from Frozen (usually Anna or Elsa)
Lanius - named after Steel-type Pokemon
And there will always be a Cobalt on my runs, and if he (I?) dies (die?) the run is over, for extra challenge (I board ships).
