The fight for the lowest score!

Postby dyno101 » Thu May 26, 2016 1:49 am

This forum is about the fight for the lowest FTL score!

The ranks are organized by ship. Each ship is a different leaderboard. Everyone who somehow hits 10 (The minimum I can reach) in each ship and category is considered a winner. The categories are:

0 jump death
1 jump death
2 jump death
3 jump death
4 jump death
5 jump death
first ship battle death
first purchase death
THE HARDEST?
Sector 8 death!

Ready... Set... FAIL!

Also each type of a ship (Type A, B, C) is an individual category.
And you must explain your death for... fairness purposes.
(I don't feel like moving it to the right section of the forum. Sorry.)
Furthermore, I can't get lower than ten. Oh lord.

I don't think it's possible to score 0 unless you modded in an event that blows up a ship with nothing on it.

Then 10 seems a more fair minimum.

So how's this for an idea:

You gotta get the lowest score but you can't cheese it by venting your ship or deliberately dying to the enemy. You gotta play the game normally and with the best of your skill and hope you get the lowest score at the end despite getting all that loot and upgrades and stuff.

So beat the Flagship but have the lowest score in the end is probably the best idea. It would also encourage people to do minimalist runs (like the Zoltan B can beat the Flagship with just its starting weaponry)

10 points. got into a fight in an asteroid belt on the first beacon with the stealth cruiser. cloaked at once, fired a glaive beam, but not without taking damage to piloting, medbay and engines. I did 4 damage to the enemy, but a stray asteroid and a basic laser shot cut my beam short. ship eventualy jumped away after destroying my weapons, zoltan and one human and causing fires in sensors, doors and piloting. 1 hp left. fire spreads to medbay. I send crew up there. the medbay gets destroyed. ship dies...

also: it was the only beacon I could go to. you know those maps where there's only one beacon above you or something...

That seems a lot better, and thank you, but the flagship isn't necessary for a score to count. It has to end while you were trying to survive.
