A lot of FTL players are on iPad and would like to play with the mods. Would it be possible to create a FTL mod app that would allow iPad users to download mods and play with them?
Thank you for reading and I love feedback of any kind.

A lot of people ask for FTL mods to be available on the iPad or some sort of multiplayer. I'm not sure if either are feasible with the current game.
Something about the FTL mods requiring some major rewriting if to be used on the iPad and most mod-makers are still trying to get it done correctly for the PC.

Why wouldn't mods that add content without touching the UI be incompatible?

I dunno. I think it has to do with IOS files being different to the FTL files. Apparently it's not a simple matter of just putting the standard FTL files on there.
Also, doesn't modifying an app directly on your iPad require the device to be jailbroken (which y'know isn't a good idea if you like things like technical support)

Why would it as long as you don't touch the binary/executable files?

I have no idea. Good thing someone else did the research so I don't have to keep explaining why it's not easy as you think it is to turn something like Captain's Edition into something for the iPad...

Thanks, this is easier than I thought then : not only it would seem you can easily mod text files for iOS, but you can also mod graphics with a little bit of effort, all this without requiring any jailbreaking.
I'm still waiting for an Android version of FTL though...
