New Race Ideas

Just a concept list of potential races for future patches/content updates potentially. As a note, it'd be interesting if in future updates you had to "discover" races in a playthrough by hiring one from a shop or finding one in an event, then it would unlock their sectors as possible choices for randomization.

Anura
Government: Logocracy
Ships: Merchants typically, mid-range warships
Racial Special: 75 Health, +5% Sell Prices/-5% Buy Prices
Ship Specializations: Higher engine ratings and evasion, high fire rate low damage weapons.
Description: Stout frog-like people, the Anura are a more passive race that are willing to wheel and deal with other races and tend to do anything as long as there is profit in it.

Borox
Government: Kratocracy
Ships: Heavy warships
Racial Special: 200% combat damage, 200% Systems Damage, 50% Repair Speed, 50% Fire Extinguish Speed
Ship Specializations: Large missile systems, heavy all around warships, good boarding systems.
Description: The Borox are a race of Bovine humanoids that are part of an interstellar empire based around infighting. The strongest Borox take positions of power by killing their formers, luckily most Borox will respect the traditions of captains of other races, but all in all they are built and bred for fighting, and as such are best used in that capacity.

Cnidar
Government: Psychic Collective
Ships: Science Vessels, Scouts
Racial Special: 50 Health, 75% Movement Speed, Experience gained by one Cnidar is gained by all Cnidar on ship
Ship Specializations: Masses of Ion systems for cripping foes before unleashing heavy beam weapons to finish off
Description: The Cnidar are strange levitating jellyfish, all members of the race share the same memories and experiences. On their own, they are flimsy and weak, but when united their knowledge is vast. They seek to learn as much about the universe as possible.

Bhurgh
Government: Dictatorship
Ships: Assimilation Vessels, Slavers
Racial Special: 50 health, Psychic Domination (can activate to take over an enemy in the same room as them temporarily)
Ship Specializations: High Shields, Powerful boarding systems
Description: The Cephalapod-esque Bhurgh are a civilization run by Slavers, they go throughout the galaxy enslaving lesser races to do all their work. Using powerful psychic abilities they control members of other races to do their bidding. Boarding actions by Bhurgh can be deadly and cause all kinds of issues for smaller crewed ships.

Hmmmm, interessting ideas... wonder how it could be implemented into the game though.
