Humanity has made A LOT of lapses in judgment to destroy the Vek, one of the worst was opening a breach to an unknown region of the multiverse, one of the few things that timelines in this region have in common is meeting their end by other means, a machine uprising wasn't that uncommon, but HELL being involved was; entering the portal and killing half a platoon wasn't the best way to introduce yourself, either.
V1 is a ruthless, nonstopping, always-improving war machine. Only God knows what it has done on its homeworld since its creation. The only thing that stopped it was hacking into our database and seeing all our data on Vek. After that, it propelled itself with explosives to the nearest mech and resided there until we sent it to a breach with some company.
It possesses an exterior plating that allows it to absorb the blood of living beings, notably humans and most Vek, and a left arm capable of deflecting most attacks, being able to repel bullets with a punch, or flip entire Vek, doing so completely restoring it, unlike other robotic pilots, it didn't require much adaptation, only personalized cockpit for the Vek blood to touch V1's plating, which repairs its Mech, for reasons we haven't understood yet.
