Normally, CTRL is used to show details on the enemy under the cursor.
However, when CTRL+Clicking (on said enemy), one unit of health is removed from the enemy - this can kill the enemy.

It seems to me this is a bug, or at least should not be in the game.

This should not be happening, did you enable debug mode?

So that's what was happening! Yes, I'm sorry. It's been months since I last enabled the console and I thought I banished it to another profile. Oh well.
