Oh, one question, did you incorporate the same thing used in FTL:Overdrive so you wouldn't have legal problems, if not, you'll need some way of making the user only be able to play it if they have the original game, if not you won't be able to release this at all

No I didn't incorporate it like that, and not planing to.
I'm planning for this game to have it's own resources(images, sounds, etc.).
It should all be made very similar to the original ones, but all of it should be newly made.

I might be blind so sorry if you answered allready is there any eta or any way to become a tester?

Congratulations! You are not blind :)
There is no specific ETA, because I work on the game in my free time.
Though I try to find some of that time every day.

As about becoming a tester, I would be happy to have as many of them as possible, once Alpha is ready.
Just keep checking this thread for updates.

Well, your saying you plan to "Extend the story" of ftl, which would still make this "illegal" due to the story taking, unless you plan to make a completely different story, you can get in trouble for copyright :(

Well, like I said b4, It would be great to have a story that is some how connected to the original.
But only in the devs of the original game wouldn't mind.
If they would - then there'll be a different story :)

In any case it's still a bit early to talk about storylines, they are planned after Alpha.
