This thread is for all questions you may come across, and have difficulty searching for answers for.

Post here if you can't search for the terms (i.e., drones) in the forum, or just have too many results generated to sift through.

Post here if you just can't find the answer otherwise.

Do not post here without reading Modding Reference Links [Modding Guides, Tools & Tutorials] first.

If you know the answers, please do help out less experienced modders. Feel free to post.

To correct you: no. You should always use .xml.append, unless you want other mods to be incompatible with yours / the purpose of your mod is to fix the original game files.
You can add new / modify existing sectors or sectorTypes just fine via .xml.append

Though of course, I could be missing the context of the original question, seeing as it was edited out... *shrug*

Ah. I was trying to remove all the old events. And sectors.

Writing a different (although in-universe) campaign, 2 parallel series of missions per arc.

Question: How can I spawn multiple enemies ships per beacon, ala making an additional opponent after a kill via Events?

Context: I'm constructing a basic training first sector, explaining the optimal usage of that factions weapons for that campaign. It would be easier to have another target drone appear after you take out the first one.

Has anyone made decent pictures of Engi Pirate ships? I want to add the Engi Scout and Engi Bomber to the list of ships that Pirates can be commanding, so I need pictures of those Engi ships with the telltale purple paint job.
