I've seen them miss. He's probably implying he had 4 defense drones fire, some of which were on cd or whose turrets weren't oriented before firing.

No, I believe he said his defense drone shot 3 boarding drones down, but failed to destroy the 4th.

Spent over 5 hours making this thing. I absolutely DETEST making crystal ships now, especially Carnelian-schemed... And it STILL looks like a meatsack. :evil:

It doesn't look so much like a meatsack. It looks like a... what was that colored glass window thingy churches used to have? I would have said mosaic, but that's colored stones, not glass.

The Oblivion Beam - Inspired by the Slug's Anti-Bio Beam, this weapon generates a neutron flux capable of inflicting heavy punishment to biochemical and electronic systems, but does not affect hull integrity.

*sigh* it looks better without a bright white background, lol.

Note: This will still fire a red beam... But I worked out a decent contact effect!

EDIT: I've been notified this may not work.

The Healing Beam is derived from rejected Zoltan technology bought on Slug black markets. Developed for use on Zoltan hospital ships; the healing beam uses a low power pulsed laser to pump a rider beam of medical nanites (colloquially referred to by all spacers as Medichines) to a target ship.

It's healing effects can restore a verge-of-death Zoltan to full, but it was rejected from Zoltan service due to it's significant fire risk.

The Khadarin Confederacy, of course, don't mind the fires. In fact, the Rockmen serving in Marauder Assault teams love the 'unfortunate' side effect, and have tuned this device to further increase it's fire chance.
