This is WAY to complicated. First it wants me to install the mod controller. Sure, fine. Than the mod controller wants me to install python 2.7.3. I do that too, but the mod controller says, its not there. *sigh* What to do?

GMM is outdated, use SMM instead.

By the way, can we edit the first post here to reflect that? It's causing some major confusion to the new people.
Apparently the note at the top of GMM's thread is not visible enough for some...

Love the mod, maybe even more than the original game, to me it has a Firefly-esque feel to it of just going through space trying to make sure you have enough stuff to survive, always on the raggedy edge, so to speak... Anyway, a couple of times I've had a really great run and sort of reached a "critical mass" at which point I'm probably just about unbeatable (on easy, yes yes, mock if you must) and then the game abruptly crashes to desktop and I lose the whole damned thing.
I had a hunch this second time that it might be around the eighth or ninth sector (haven't actually been counting but I will next time) and that the glitch might possibly be related to the fact that this is the point at which the actual game ends, again just guesswork but I thought I might point you off in a plausible direction if enough people are having problems for it to be worth a fix. Thanks.

this has been answered millions of times and it should be slightly obvious, due to how the mod made it infinite with the sector ??? and sector 1 loop.

You can not unlock any new ship at all, not even the federation cruiser or engi cruiser.

Type b's may be possible but not new ships

I see. I would hope the person who designed the mod would be able to, say, randomize the galazy map when transporting and constantly make a ew one when you reach the end. at least then, you have a chance to get to the areas that give you the new ships. either that, or find a way to unlock all ships right off the bat.

But then it would be possible to unlock the mantis cruiser say... 10 times, how lore friendly is it to unlock a 'one-of-a-kind' ship 10 times.

Anywho, if you do not have every ship I do not think it is a good idea to try this mod then (or any mod, as I believe you should unlock and do nearly everything before modding, unless it's the crystal cruiser)

Is there a way we can unlock different ships in this mod or is it Vanilla only? Just wondering.

Nope. You can't unlock ships with this mod.

Please provide the error report, without it your description is way too vague for us to be able to help you. Error reports can usually be found in modman-log.txt - put them here between [ code ][ /code ] tags

nice lil mod. I have to run slipstream as administrator to get it to work.

my only critique is the random jumping. most times I go to the next sector i'm up against 3 shielded missle boats. something that is a no win situation since my ship hasn't built up yet.

overall good mod though
