Rarrrg... Bug post time...
My game just crashed while doing an out-of-fuel wait (the distress beacon was on). I hadn't saved in a couple hours and had just finished my newest killer loadout, so I was pretty peeved. AND I had just found that W... G... again and was gonna try to figure out what it did...grrrr...
Other things I've noticed (I've helped beta test before):
- You've apparently modified the quests so the quest-start and quest-end occur at the same location. A couple don't work correctly, though. I will have to start taking their Wikia mission names (or describe the new ones) and say which act funny. I remember that one mission has you fight a ship at the start, then it WOULD have you fight another ship at the destination but this never occurs and the game acts as if you beat it instantly (FTL doesn't allow two ship fights at one beacon?).
- Two new quests seem to have options that don't point correctly: The Mantis Arena will lead you to the regular arena options if you fight and destroy the ship, but the options all cancel you out if you do so. This also occurs with the Comet quest if you choose the second blue option (requires level 8 engines?)--that is, you can only proceed if you choose the FIRST blue option, which has a failure chance.
- All the new cruisers will not board you until you do some system damage to their ship (all other ships immediately board you). If you revisit the encounter, they will board you immediately as expected. Is this behavior intentional?
Well, I had a lot of fun with my triple-anti-ship + ion blast II config (enough even to overwhelm defense drone II!), but I guess I'm done with this mod for now. Look forward to more updates in the future...and if anyone is having difficulty installing the mod, I know I have the latest Grognak's (released earlier this month) and the PC Steam version of FTL on Win7 64-bit; others with trouble should tell what their setup is.
