Can someone help me. Every time I try to install nearly all mods, I get something along the lines of:
ERROR [Errno 13] Permission Denied...
If anyone can help, please do.

If you're on Windows Vista/7/8, see the post above yours.RebelFlagship wrote:Every time I try to install nearly all mods, I get something along the lines of:

I no longer have the permission problem, but now I have a new one; it says ERROR: unpack requires a bytes object of length 8.
Anyone who can, please help (again).

Ignore modman.exe for now (it's broken), and run main.py directly.Nommykins wrote:I have both python 2.7.3 and 3.0 installed, but the mod manager isn't picking it up.
- Windows XP: Double-click main.py.
- Windows Vista/7/8: may have to do this.
Or you can use the replacement exe I made.

You're saying FTL starts and crashes instantly?B4TM4N wrote:when its finished instaling the mods it asks if i want to run FTL i say yes {it starts up} with a small white box in the middle is there for less than a second it blinks on the screen then disappers
Test: Does the game run okay from the start menu after adding the mods?
If not, the game simply won't start by any means.
You may have chosen mods that don't play well together. Select fewer or change their order.
Test: Does GMM start the game okay if you click "patch" without selecting mods?
If it does, it's was the chosen mods' fault.

So... I've installed it, got python and everything, and I open Modman.exe to install a new mod (Infinite space), but... No mods show up in the list.
I check the mod directory, And the bonus scrap mod thing that comes along with it is in there, as well as the Infinite Space mod, both of them with .ftl extensions. I close the program, delete the mod load order, and try again.
...Still no mods in there.
Am I doing something wrong, and how do I fix this?
(and yes, I've read a couple of pages in the thread, I couldn't find anything like this.)
Oh, and I'm running W7, 64-bit.

Attach modman-log.txt ("Upload Attachment" is just below the submit button when composing a reply).Watcher wrote:No mods show up in the list.
