[SHIP][AE] Bringing The Expanse to FTL with the Rocinante and crew!

THE SHIP:

I personally recommend the Class A Artillery versions initially, as the railgun is much cheaper to power, and thus more deployable early.

The Rocinante ("Roci") is a Corvette-class light frigate with multiple roles, such as torpedo bomber and boarding party insertion.

Originally commissioned as the MCRN Tachi (ECF 270), the ship was stationed onboard the MCRN battleship Donnager. It was renamed by James Holden after he and his crew used it to escape from the Donnager.

Her normal crew complement was over a dozen navy personnel and officers, and on many missions she'd also carry six marines.

There is some reasoning behind the load-out the ship comes with. It was to be built around the railgun, and as such, I saw the Stealth ships as a good base. Hence, no shields (works for those of us coming from The Expanse universe, too).However, I haven't played FTL myself in over a year, and I would love and appreciate any balancing advice or suggestions. I wanted to attempt to stay true to the source material (Roci) while playing within the world of FTL. So for example, you'll see the teleport station where the cargo bay and lower airlock can be found, and the cloaking art is unlike that typically found in FTL but "more in line" with The Expanse. Starting weaponry and augments had me scratching my head, so If you have better or more interesting weaponry or interior suggestions, please let me know!

THE CREW:

Every character from the TV show or book has been added, so you'll see them starting out with you occasionally, or wandering around the universe. You might see a few with recognizable names like Donnager, too.

Oh, you also have a ghost on the ship.

LAYOUTS:

Please note there are two versions available to download. Beam version provides a railgun that can target and impact multiple rooms at once. Projectile version can only hit one room. Projectile version can miss, I do not believe the beam can(?).
The ships replace the Kestrel Class A, B, and C.
Class A is a version with the railgun set as artillery. So you have no direct control of targeting.
Class B is a targeted railgun version. Please note that the only weapons I can personally vouch for as looking OK in the first (left) weapon slot, is the Glaive or Railgun. This is the weapon slot that comes out of the Rocinante's nose. Any other weapons will likely display funky.
Class C is the same as Class B, but the Epstein Drive version. You have way more power to start with.

I had thought of doing a version (or balancing) of the Rocinante where the railgun firing costs a missile each shot, if there's any interest in that. Can't be done with the beam version, just the projectile.

Also, I'm new to Gimp, so I know this art style might not sit well with the FTL style. I'll try to improve.

Improved gibs animation. The testing was...infuriating and I'm not happy with the result. Still, good enough for government work, ship it.

Captain's Edition/Multiverse compatibility?

I jumped through the hoops of making an account and answering the forums awful security questions just to tell you how excited I am that someone made this. I don't know if you check these forums anymore, but I want you to know that this made my day, I was on the verge of trying to make a mod like this myself, with no experience im sure it would have been an absolute crap shoot. So thank you! I will test this out and let you know what I think. If you're bored and still want to make mods, The anubis would be super cool in ftl ;)
