[WIP] Stores Expanded - A Mini Overhaul

Thanks to Bamalf for letting me modify and use the Order Station (station seen above) from Arsenal+.

Stores expanded requires features from FTL: Hyperspace to work. This requires you to downgrade to FTL 1.6.9 and download hyperspace from the forum link. More details in their post.

Stores Expanded is a mini-expansion mod that fleshes out stores in FTL. It's a project I've been working on and off for a while now, and I think it's at a state now that I'm comfortable with releasing it.

Features of this mod include:
  • Industry-owned stores. These have special signals that can be seen anywhere in the sector, and offer quality, if pricey, services and items.
  • Specialty stores that focus on either your weapons or your ship. Upgrade your ship systems at a reduced price, or fix broken weaponry.
  • Weapon upgrading. At weapon-specialists, upgrade your weapons to pack a bigger punch!
  • Semi-removal of store-based hull repair. This is now only possible at ship-specialists.
  • Talking to the owners of the store. Learn about the locals and their struggles.
  • Find secret black market hubs that offer a range of questionable services. Be careful of con-artists!

This mod isn't 100% complete yet, although the bulk of it is here. Right now the only features left to add are more socializing outcomes and unique events.

Mod Compatibility

Stores Expanded is designed off Vanilla FTL. All events and weapons added are based upon vanilla events and vanilla weapon stats. As such, any mods that changes these, such as big overhauls or balance patches, may break Stores Expanded, if not mess up the balance a bit.
If using Stores Expanded with other mods, make sure you patch it after other mods that may change store events or weapons so it does not override with anything in this mod.
Captains Edition has a specilised patch that let's it work well with Stores Expanded. Make sure to load the mods in the following order:
  • CE Mods
  • Stores Expanded
  • SE - Captains Edition Patch

-Added possibility of finding broken weapons in certain sectors, both in stores and in random events.

-Reduced file size by deleting unnecessary images
-Fixed bug that would cause certain small talk options to lead to a non-existent event list

The mod looks really cool ;), however is it compatible with Captains Edition? If not, are you gonna make it compatible?

Unfortunately I doubt the current version is compatible with Captain's Edition, or any large overhaul for that matter.
I probably could make a compatible version, it would just take some time to make.

Thanks for the answer. I guess I'll just uninstall CE and make a couple runs with Stores Expanded ;)

Bug fix update to the main mod and release of the Captains Edition Patch, allowing Stores Expanded to work flawlessly with Captains Edition.

New Somewhat-Major Update

This update integrates a lot of features now made possible with FTL: Hyperspace, which this mod now requires.
As such, you'll now need to downgrade FTL to 1.6.9 and install Hyperspace to use this mod.
