[SHIP] auto-twin

this is my first mod

this ship is 2 auto-scouts put together and it is very hard to use

pros: no fire or boarders can do much, has enough energy to run everything at full that you have at start, starts with drones, starts with drone recover arm, and you have 2 crystal crew members

cons: no shields (at start), no oxygen (at all), your crew members can die before you even start, no sensors (at start), all weapons are lowest possible versions of that kind of weapon, and replaces zoltan ship type B

You didn't even turn the graphic, the guns are somehow facing up, you gave it crew, but no o2, and a 2 person medbay. Kieve, keep that hotlink you talked about in the fed secret ready.

I don't usually go off the rails on a rant without trying to be constructive, but this is some of the laziest work I've seen crop up. You didn't even bother to turn the ship graphic...

Look, I'm all for encouraging people to test their boundaries, try their hand at modding, but IMO there are projects worth releasing to share with people, and then there are projects you make just for yourself while you're learning how to do things. To me, this feels like the second category.

Although it does seem pretty balanced, (I haven't tried it yet) you need to edit the graphics, and make it more playable, a lot more playable, the crew will die too quickly to do anything, and you will have to continuously cycle the crew through the medbay. The other stuff however, seems pretty balanced, I like the low power balancing, like in my Rebel Elite Cruiser mod.

i see what you are saying about the graphics that's how i wanted to make the graphics but now that you say that I see the problem with it i will go make a flipped version of it

also the about no oxygen i wanted it not to have oxygen the point of this ship is to be annoying and challenging
i have gotten to sector 5 with it

I once did a no-O2-match with the Engi cruiser, just for the challenge. But i feel no demand to do this on a regular basis. Simply too much stupid clicking around to keep a big crew inside the medbay. Also the engi has the nanobot augment and a bigger medbay...

But i think this ship could work perfectly with the "A.I. Avatar" race from FTL Captain's Edition. They don't need Oxygen, but have only 50hp. Give the ship two of these and maybe the A.I.Avatar generator augment and it could be fun.
