There's actually some value in saving a decent missile weapon for the last stand and/or flagship fight. Disabling the missile launcher artillery in particular with a well placed (possibly preignited) breach missile for example.

It requires you to waste jumping back to a previously visited beacon, so the benefit is dubious at best in later sectors. Early on it might be okay, if you can't take fights.

Game crash on CE infinite when activating max level backup battery with max reactor after deploying ASB augment. After restarting ASB is still active but it's no longer using power and backup battery does not cause crash any more. Might just be an issue with backup batteries while combat augments a...

In FTL, easy is actually normal difficulty. Normal is hard, and hard is somewhere between nintendo hard and deity difficulty level in civ games.

If you're not playing CE on hard, yes it makes things worse for you. Just use the random flagship to get out of the vanilla mentality entirely. This is not FTL, it's FTL:CE.

Also, updating the changelog on your own forum and website first would have made a lot more sense than just dropping it in a reddit thread and calling it good.
