But putting it in the cargo hold will not make it show up in blue options. I intended for it to be sold in the shop, not to sell it through blue options. ...and have to rely on an honor system of telling players to sell them. It would be a foolproof honor system, as selling it would be the only use...

I had an idea recently, and I wonder if it would work... There are some that complain about how the merchandise 'augments' in CE take up slots that could be used for augments that actually do things. Because of this, I was wondering if you could make a weapon named something like "Box of Goodie...

When I go to the exit beacon and select the only avaliable, the game shows the jump animation and then crashes. I assume that augments work the same way? If so, then the only good use for custom augments is as quest items/things to buy and sell (like CE).

One quick question:

In blueprints.xml, it shows the blueprints for systems. Theoretically, could you make your own system and put it in the shop, or is it hardcoded? I don't think you can; I haven't seen any other files that deal with systems and their functions.

How about this:

The Heal Bomb heals crew members that are allied with the people firing the bomb. Bombs are detonated by the order they were launched in. If they were launched at the same time, then they are launched in weapon order.
