I can't see any weapon mounts... This is on purpose. If you notice on a B-wing the weapons are in the middle and the end ( you can kind of see it on the A version at the bottom ) I felt that the weapons should fire out from those (and they do) instead of mounting them to see them where they don't b...

so, if I understand correctly, a 0 power variant doesn't require the drone system to be functioning?

If you wanted the effect of "crew constantly heals but has no dedicated healing facility", you could make a medbay room that was isolated from the rest of the ship. thing about this is that if the med bay was down, the crew cannot be healed by med bot dispersal without access to the medba...
