I'm using Firefox and the download link brings me to a page full of gibberish. It worked on Internet Explorer. I have no idea what causes it and the broken download page thing looks really freaky.

The mantis B can make the boss fight easy! In the first phase break the medbay and you can kill all the enemy crew with your 4 pad telly. (Leaving that one guy in the laser bay alive.) Then you can use the telly to kill the shields and helm (and drones) at your leisure.

I did some experimenting, (BTW is it ok to use notepad?) and making FTL Recharge Booster too powerful really takes the bite out of being caught by the enemy fleet. And it's just weird to be able to just not fight everyone. I guess it could work as a counter to enemy ships using an overpowered versio...

That's not how vacuum works.

Right now only a few things can be modded with the game: Ships, weapons, and events can be changed and new ones added but many mechanics are hardcoded into the game.

What adjustments would be most balanced and useful for augments? By default, not all augments are balanced, and some are useful only to sell for scrap. I often see custom ships changing Rock armor from it's default 15% to 20%, for example. What can be changed to make sub-optimal augments useful with...
