Because there was no one who wanted to finance the development, but nowadays we have crowdfunding?

I completely agree. Randomness should play some role, true. But having instances with no chance of winning means that a game is not balanced well enough.

Are there any news on this? I think after some months have passed it's okay to ask :-)

Re: Suggestions for FTL 2

I think there really should be more than just two difficulty levels to choose from. "Easy" is by no means easy for a beginning player in FTL, and "Normal" is not hard enough for some experienced players, it seems. I do hope that FTL2 (if it does happen) will give you more options...

Re: Seperate auto-fire per weapon

You can do it on ONE selected weapon, but not on two or three (out of four). I guess it was by holding down the CTRL key in addition to choosing the target. Not sure in which version this was introduced.

What about no-win situations even if you do play well?

Re: IGN GOTY Nomination!

FTL is a nice little game, but I would have been very surprised if it had won a GOTY award.
Its sometimes frustrating difficulty level solidly prevents it from winning such a title.

Re: Intruders wont surrender bug

2. If the other ship surrenders, they should either teleport or offer to join. They should absolutely stop fighting, otherwise they aren't really surrendering. Yes, this. The way it currently is does not really make sense. Unless maybe if you have destroyed the enemy ship's teleporter. @Developers:...

I was under the impression that people wanted to be able to switch autofire on/off for each weapon individually. That is seemingly not how it currently is.

No, it is not.

Out of curiosity, do the developers of this game actually implement (some of the) changes suggested by the players?
