The ships aggressive AI comes online, it starts fixing everything that was damaged automatically. It's recommended you don't do that

Enemy weapons that fire more than one shot are not limited to hitting one room, but rather each one is randomly targeted.

Really like the hulls you've got so far, however there is something small I've noticed. There is a slight glow around one of the old hulls you've spliced in to the Rock hull, looks a little strange. According to steam I've played for 5 hours, I probably have double that if you include the time I played without Steam. Also, I've spent most of my runs trying to unlock the ships and not going for high scores. Ships unlocked: Kestrel A+B, Torus A, Osprey A+B, Slug A, Rock A, Zoltan A, Highest score...

That's a fairly common strategy, however it isn't necessarily the best way of doing things if you're also being attacked by a powerful ship and need crew at their stations. Perhaps it would be appropriate to mention DryEagle's excellent Amber Shard mod here. It is a no-oxygen ship which is specially designed to not kill the all-crystal crew

I'm pretty sure this is already in the game, if you are out of fuel you can wait for a passer-by, and can activate a distress signal to get help/attacked by pirates faster
