Apparently GOG also allows you to download older installers, but only for windows, and only using their galaxy downloader thingy. Linux version, nope.

You can run the windows version of the game in linux, using wine. Not that it makes a lot of sense to do so, but it works.

You can just make a simple text edit to the beginning scrap advantage mod and give yourself a bit of a headstart. The infinite mod is not meant for quick, vanillaish runs, it's a long run marathon mod where you get to pick your own progression speed via the sector advancement at exit beacons.

OK, it seems that I (somehow accidentally) found a solution. I just started the game as administrator, and the next time I started (as non-admin), it had remembered the settings. I don't know why, but as long as it works, I'm happy! It's still the best game ever made, BTW. Although I preferred the ...

Normal Naginata does 2 damage per room, so it works as it's supposed to. Hull beam is the one that does double hull damage.

Because the mod hasn't been updated for the latest version of FTL and mod manager. There's a way to install the old FTL version, here:
