I've done it a few times. It's a lot easier than AE. Teleporting is back to being OP and your weapons and shops aren't as diluted with chaff

Buy the defense drone, then your next 300 scrap upgrade to max weapons, and drone to 4 to run the combat and defense drones. The weapons are great. I love all of those. Lasers, beams and flak are the best weapons not because they are the most powerful, but because they are realiable - That means that you aren't at the whims of randomness as to if you can fire your weapons. The reduction in availability of useful weapons is a combination of things. AE added a bunch of stuff, but most of it is designed to improve the AI, and is mostly somewhere between mediocre and terrible for the player. let's clear another thing. Enemies actually charge their weapons faster. Enemy weapons play by the same rules yours do and the math doesn't lie. This.
