It doesn't work for all the 51 seconds, but you could dodge the power surges which, apart from the missiles are the only real threat against the boss. Heck, even max level engines makes it silly (you don't need ANY weapon power except for bombing missiles at the start).

Also, re-loaders lower firing time on the artillery beam. Can you imagine cloak as well? You could literally stall 51 seconds and instantly win.

There's a super easy way to do this, which I figured out after getting really annoyed at it (I swear I've done it a few times now). 1) Play on Easy, immediately upgrade cloak with your 30 scrap. 2) Try to find an automated drone with no shields in sector 1. Glorious. Maybe you should make a wacky weapons pack at some point, with things like a hull breaching beam weapon (same as this but no shield penetration and the length of a fire beam) or a slug launcher (no idea what it'd do, but space slugs are awesome, even if their ship sucks).

Ah, okay. Secretly I was hoping it was a gun that does no hull damage but always makes a hole in enemy ships regardless of shields, with very fast ROF. Yes, I know it's silly, but is it so bad to want to imagine a flying pop tart cat jumping through a ship repeatedly?

The multiple ship same crew thing is genius! The game gets longer (more missions), we get more of the same AND we can actually start to care for our crew. I mean, we're on the brink of losing the Federation, right? So the game as it stands could be level one. Maybe afterwards you could change ships ...

Yeah, Ion fires incredibly fast (side effect: as gunners level up on a "single shot/burst" basis, you'll have a max level gunner 2 sectors after acquiring one), yet that's not the real bonus IMO. Damage can be repaired. It takes a while, which can be accelerated by more crew. Ion damage, w...

Didn't know about the bomb-shield thing, though I think I'd still rather have the 2 lasers as they're good on normal enemies too. Still amazed at the re-loader thing, it seems so cheap.

I was thinking you'd be a pirate/"free trader", so you could hold hostages as an event at the end of battles - maybe if you boarded and they surrendered, you could force them to join your crew, or impress them enough. I think actually selling slaves is a little bit too grim for such a ligh...
