Re: Did you know? List little tips and tricks here!
Yes, that's what I thought. Someone claimed on Reddit that Rocks have a hidden bonus. No confirmation that I know of.

Re: Did you know? List little tips and tricks here!
It's still possible for a Rock to fail a roll to put out a fire. Just because a Human succeeded that time doesn't mean Rocks are worse.

I saw on the FTL subreddit that Rocks supposedly put out fires a little faster than other crew, though still slower than an Engi. Wasn't tested, though. They are slower to get to the fire, if it's in another room.

Well, I've about exhausted my knowledge on this issue. The files in FTL\resources aren't set to Read Only, are they?

Salut, ZQFMGB. Have you tried running Slipstream as an Administrator?
Personally, I never install games that will be modded in Program Files, because it's protected. I use <drive>:\Games.

Re: Twinge's Balance & Bugfix Mod
I actually recently paid attention to a Sector 8 encounter's text, when it's usually no battle?/continue. I didn't even realize that Federation Fleets Near Beacon has multiple texts signifying nothing. In particular the one with "A battalion of Federation fighters are fighting around a nearby m...

Re: Twinge's Balance & Bugfix Mod: Updated for Advanced Edition!
Versoin 2.4.0 Released. * Hacking even more expensive Oh, the pain! * Burst II & Halberd Beam cost increased slightly For the Halberd an increase of 15.4% seems more than "slightly" IMO. Also on your mod website under "Overview of Important Changes," I don't see a mention of...

Re: Vulcan : best weapon in the game ?
IMO the Vulcan is kind of a trap weapon. It's awesome when it's fully ramped up, but it needs help, because it takes ~30 sec to get going (longer if it gets taken offline, and it has to start all over). So I like to have other weapons - probably with Hacking - that can do some damage in the meantime...
