Hi,

I'm a bit clueless when it comes to mods, unfortunately, but I'm really stoked to try out this one! I've run into the following (I'm sure, very foolish) problem with the CE resources pack. I've downloaded the Slipstream Mod Manager, the CE Resource Pack 1.27, and the FTL Captain's Edition1.277. Unzipping the FTL captain's edition gets me an .ftl file that I can put in the "mods" folder just fine, and which shows up when I run Slipstream. But unzipping the CE Resource pack - gives me an .ftl file *folder*, which doesn't contain any straight .ftl files. I've put the folder in the Mods file in Slipstream, but it doesn't show up when I run the manager. Do I need to run some file within the folder - and if so, which? I can't find any readme on this.

I don't think the Resource Pack needs to be opened up and extracted. It's an .ftl file as well.

Yeah, you don't have to unzip anything. The mod comes as ready to use .ftl files. Some browsers overzealously rename .ftl files into .zip, in that case you just have to rename them into .ftl for SMM to recognize them as mod files. You can also enable .zip file format in the SMM preferences, that does the trick as well.

I see that the misc.xml didn't get fixed in the last update, so I'll file the complaint again. Delete misc.xml.append after moving the contents into the misc.xml.rawappend file because it is removing spaces from various texts in the base file when it gets appended.

Here is a list of all the text (everything that starts or ends with a space) that gets corrupted by the .append file:

Alright, done. I wasn't aware whether this really caused problems.

I can't test it right now, but I see that misc.xml.append file didn't get deleted. It is just empty now. I don't know if SMM will skip an empty file or still try to append it and mess up the original file. I'll try to test it later when I get the chance, if someone else doesn't try it and say anything useful about it first.

EDIT:
I tested it now, and that empty file still caused problems. At least the silent update works, so I shouldn't have to bother you with this any more, so much so that I'm editing this post instead of making a new post after the silent update. :D

Hi, please help me out, i've installed everything correctly, but i don't know why, everything is really expensive in the game, even if i want to play without infinite patch.
Any suggestions? :)

Ok, i have one question :)
I had a quest, but to go into the beacon where that quest is, i needed to go trough the exit beacon. Now when You enter the exit beacon, it just asks me if i want to change the galaxy normally or closer to the federation... Any way, to just pass to the quest? Latest AE/INF/EL

Nope. Due to how game mechanics work, you either have to put the fuel in to use the exit beacon or you immediately jump to the next deep space sector. No way around it.
