There are many ways to win a battle.
Boarding, teleport crewmembers on, get them to kill everyone else.
Weapons, straight up pew pew pew.
Drones, automatic pew pew pew.
Mind control, a new one. Get enemy crew to do it for ya.
Depressurization, because victory through asphyxiation is funny.
Fire, because who doesn't like to watch ships BURN?
Which of these ways are your most favorite, least favorite and most fun.
My favorite is Weapons, easy to use and gets the job done.
My least favorite is Boarding, I always seem to mess up somehow.
And the most fun is asphyxiation. Hack the oxygen room, then cause a hull breach. Winning combination.
What are your favorites?
In order, my favorites are
Weapons
Depressurization
Fire
Drones
Mind Control
Boarding

Also add fire, and flames. Burning, too.
I do like some of the unusual ways to kill crew opened up by AE: having their ship's Anti-Personnel Drone execute their mind-controlled crew. Using multiple Ion Stunners to lock crew in the Shields room while the Life Support has been destroyed. Good times. Furthermore, deflagration schemes.

Don't forget hacking the medbay and anti-bio beam. And my personal favorite, pew pew crew kills. Goes well with with fire, hacking, and especially clonebay boarding.

Suffocation via O2 ion bombardment.

Oh! I forgot two of my favorites:
1) Killing the enemy ship with all of their systems red.
2) Killing the final Flagship phase with 30 hull; no fires, system damage or hull breaches; and all my crew at full health and at their stations.

Combustion, too.
It should be noted that preciion-killing is considerably easier in the first sectors now that Sensors can be manned. Whenever you are invulnerable to the enemy's weaponry, "Heavy" weapons have a good chance of achieving this, and ocassionally, any laser.
Medbay hacking - I always imagine the crew desperately banging on the doors: "The machine's gone crazy! For Heavens' sake, let us out!". This also causes them to get lined up against the doors - a fact which only a most nefarious, psychotically evil person would exploit for beam usage, yes? Reminds me of dropping a Breach Missile unto a full 4-person Medbay.
Lastly, the old-fashioned quadruple Mantis squad. One of my Mantis B ship names is "Free Hugs" (AKA "The Loveboat" or "Four by Four"), after all. It's fine, though, I bet the computer feels the same when it gives me an event with 4 boarders, and a teleporting ship.
