Faster Than Light Play

Hey Everyone,

I recently uploaded a new FTL youtube video on my channel. My channel is really new, in fact the Faster Than Light video was my first one, I am inexperienced with FTL. Therefore i have come to the forums to ask if it was possible for two things.

I would very much appreciate it if first, you could take your time out to check out my video and give me some pointers on how i can improve from my video and any advice you could give me on that basis would be greatly appreciated.
The Second thing i ask is it would also be great if you could give me advice on things that i am doing within the video, for example as this is my first time playing FTL i am clearly not that great, therefore i would greatly appreciate as well as a comment on how to improve my Videos, but also improving my abilities within FTL.

Regarding general quality: You're fine. Good even. No problems.
Regarding format: I suggest cutting out most of the beginning stuff. It's cool when you're learning (as that's why we're watching, to see you learn) but once you've got it down, you should cut out the naming the ship and crew parts. Do it all first, start recording, mention the name and that you're the pilot and away you go.

I'll keep the advice general:
Easy mode in this game is like normal mode in most games. Normal is like Hard mode. Hard is like Nightmare mode
Hit the spacebar to pause. All the time. Pause like every 5 seconds. Seriously.
Don't use your missiles too much. They're a tactical support weapon for the burst laser. You only start with a handful of missiles and they're expensive. I tend to use one per battle, to take out the shields so the BL can wreak havoc.
Also, that drone was shooting down your missiles, so you were essentially just throwing them away.
The store had a "Page 2"
You can right click anywhere on the screen to get out of weapon target mode. Easier than powering down the weapon (and sometimes you don't want to power weapons down just to unselect them)
