Okay, stupid question, because I was going to give a drone weapon the hullbust 1 trait, but not sure it will ever get used...?
Thanks!:)

Re: Do drones ever target empty rooms?
Drones (and all enemy ships) target random rooms on the target ship, and pay no heed to what that room contains.
So if you have 10 rooms with systems in them, and 10 empty rooms, that drone will target an empty room half the time and you'll get the bonus.
What it WON'T do is target them exclusively.

The problem is (like using, for example heal bombs on fighters that will never hit your boarding parties xD) that sometimes you will have no luck and the drone will never aim empty rooms... that could happen. So this is a reason to consider before you put all the drone skills in the hullbust capabilities..

Yeah, I was looking to find an "in between" between damage 1 and damage 2... Giving them the hull bust attribute seemed like a compromise... If they hit a system, good for you, and if not, eh, you do a bit more damage:)
Now I am realizing, though, that the enemy ships have few empty rooms, so not sure it is a worthwhile endeavor...

Hullbust doesnt work that way. You can only deal double damage when u activate that capabilitie. Hullbust = 1 only means that capabilitie is activated, it doesnt mean you will deal x1 damage.. and so on

Ohhhh... Hm, okay, then how do you activate the ability? The weapons in game that have hull bust 1 just do double damage to empty rooms, no?

Correct. I'm pretty sure speedoflight just misunderstood what you said.

Ahh okay. Yeah, sorry if I wasn't clear (which I wasn't.) I just figure that giving a damage 1 weapon hullbust 1 means that it will do 1 damage to systems, but 2 to empty rooms, which is a nice "between" between 1 damage and 2 damage.
